Follow The Elephant

I just completed this lesson opener illustration for a reprinting of The Magician's Elephant in a McGraw-Hill textbook. It was honestly one of the most enjoyable freelance jobs I have ever had the privilege to do. The Magician's Elephant is one of my top four books of all time, superbly written by Kate DiCamillo, beautifully designed by Candlewick Press, and perfectly illustrated by Yoko Tanaka.

Can't say mine compares, but I sure loved making it.
